Karnataka High Court directs State Government to file status report over Bengaluru stampede by June 10

The Karnataka High Court on Thursday (June 5, 2025) directed the State Government to file a status report on the stampede outside the cricket stadium in Bengaluru that led to 11 deaths and injuries to over 50 people. The Court, after taking suo motu cognisance of the matter, issued notice to the State and tasked it with filing a detailed status report by June 10. The State Government admitted before the High Court that it was not prepared to handle such a huge crowd of around 2.5 lakh on June 4 during the event organised at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to celebrate RCB’s victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025).

Dassault Aviation partners with Tata Advanced Systems for Rafale fighter fuselage production in India

Describing it as a significant step forward in strengthening the country’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities and supporting global supply chains, Dassault Aviation said the facility represented a vital investment in India’s aerospace infrastructure and would serve as a critical hub for high-precision manufacturing. Under the agreement, Tata Advanced Systems will set up a production facility in Hyderabad for the manufacture of key structural sections of Rafale, including the lateral shells of the rear fuselage, the complete rear section, the central fuselage, and the front section. The first fuselage sections are likely to roll off the assembly line in 2028, with the facility expected to deliver up to two complete fuselages per month.
