Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (October 25, 2026) attended the Indian Air Force’s air show ‘Wings over Ganges’ at Namo Ghat in Varanasi and witnessed a display of aerial manoeuvres by the IAF’s premier display teams. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied Mr. Modi on the final day of the three-day air show held to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force.

India to host 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum

Parliament is all set to host the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum under the theme ‘strengthening Parliaments for people-centric development’, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to meet leaders of visiting delegations. On the eve of the two-day forum that begins on Monday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met the Russian delegation led by State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. Radhakrishnan to visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday and Tuesday

Vice-President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan, will visit Andhra Pradesh for two days beginning Monday, where he will attend the ruby jubilee celebrations of the NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada. During his visit, Radhakrishnan will also offer prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati and the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Tiruchanur, his office said.

Over 61,000 Form-7 applications filed by election officials in Karnataka, none cites reason

At least 61,059 Form-7 applications seeking the deletion of names from Karnataka’s electoral rolls were filed by election officials themselves, with not a single application mentioning a reason for the deletion, a mandatory requirement under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), listed as the objectors in these applications, said the system “auto-generated” the forms with their digital signatures when voters could not be reached during hearings on notices issued for no mapping or logical discrepancies, and the voters were therefore marked as “ineligible”.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that a severe depression over the Bay of Bengal was likely to intensify into a cyclone, Arnab, and cross the coast between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam by the afternoon of Wednesday.

Revanth Reddy to meet Devendra Fadnavis on Monday over Tummidihetti barrage clearances

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will meet his Maharashtra counterpart Devendra Fadnavis on Monday to resolve clearance issues over the proposed Tummidihetti barrage. Revanth Reddy, accompanied by Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and officials, will meet Fadnavis at the Sahyadri state guest house in Mumbai, a press release said on Sunday. The Telangana government has proposed building a barrage across the Godavari River at Tummidihetti, on the inter-State border. Telangana is seeking Maharashtra’s consent as the proposed barrage would result in submergence in the neighbouring State.
