Eligibility Criteria for  (JIPMAT) 2024

Eligibility requirements:

Candidates should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC examination in arts/commerce/science stream or equivalent in the year 2022, 2023 or is appearing in 2024.
The candidate must have passed class 10th examination in the year not before 2020.

The IIMs (Bodh Gaya and Jammu) may have different eligibility requirements, the candidates are required to refer to the website of IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu for this.

 

For IIM Bodh gaya

Eligibility
Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC examination in arts/commerce /science stream or equivalent with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more in the year 2023 or appearing in 2024. Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by 31 July 2024 can also apply. The candidate must have passed class 10th examination with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more in the year not before 2021.The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Class X and Class XII would be calculated based on the Board’s regulation. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.The application of the candidates, who are appearing in Class XII examination, will be provisional till their Class XII result. The candidates who do not score the requisite score as above will be considered to be out of the application/admission process.Admission to the programme is open to Indian citizens only.

Seats/Intake : The intake for IPM programme will be around 120.

List of examinations equivalent to 10+2:

1. Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by National Institute of Oen Schooling (NIOS) as well as State Board of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects

 

 

For IIM Jammu

Eligibility
Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2022,2023 or appearing in 2024. The candidate must have passed Standard X/ SSC or equivalent examination in the year 2020 or later.
Qualifying Examination-Candidate should have a Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category). Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31st, 2024, can also apply.
Applicants pursuing their XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.

Selection Process
The selection process of IIM Jammu consists of:
Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Preparation of Merit list will be based on JIPMAT Score and gender diversity.

IPM Batch 2024-29. The batch size is likely to be around 140. IIM Jammu reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.
 

 

Indian nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India.

The categories and the extent of reservation are as follows:

1.General category belonging to Economically Weaker Section (GEN- EWS) – 10% of seats inevery course.

2.Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL) – 27% of seats in every course.

i. OBCs should be listed in the current updated central list of OBCs (http://www.ncbc.nic.in).
ii. OBCs present in the State list but not covered in the central list of OBCs (as per the list in http://www.ncbc.nic.in ) are NOT eligible to claim the reservation.
iii. The criteria for OBC-NCL will be as per the notification of the Government of India.
iv. Candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC are NOT entitled to reservation. Such candidates are treated as belonging to the general (GEN), i.e. unreserved category, and they will be eligible only for the OPEN seats – the seats for which all candidates are eligible.

3. Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15% of seats in every course.
4. Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5% of seats in every course.

5. Persons with Disability (PwD) – 5% seats in each of the GENERAL, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST category seats.
