CUET 2023 exam dates are from May 21 to 31, 2023

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has been introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for Academic session 2023-24 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). However, it may be noted that Merit list for admission 2023 will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities will conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (UG) - 2023 provided by NTA.

The CUET UG 2023 – the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) exam 2023 is the entrance exam for admission 2023 to undergraduate courses, offered by the 45 Central Universities and their affiliated colleges including Delhi University, Jawahar Lal Nehru University, BHU, Jamia, AMU among others. CUET 2023 is a computer based test and the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct it in 500+ cities across India and 24 Cities Outside-India.

CUET 2023 exam dates are from May 21 to 31, 2023 and the last date to apply for CUET 2023 has been extended to March 30 from earlier March 12.
According to National Testing Agency (NTA) Notification dated March 11, 2023, “In order to ensure that more options are available to the applicants for choosing courses / programmes of various newly added Universities / Institution / Autonomous Colleges / Organizations from all over the Country, it has been decided to extend the online Application Form for the CUET (UG) – 2023 as per the details given below:”

Candidates who will be appearing in CUET (UG) - 2023 may participate in the Counselling / admission process of any University / Institution / Organization even though they have not applied for that University / Institution / Organization in the Online Application Form of CUET (UG) – 2023. However, the candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of that Course of University / Institution / Organization where they are seeking admission.

Latest Update:

   i). CUET 2023 will be conducted from May 21 to 31, 2023 in CBT Mode
   ii).CUET 2023 will be conducted in 3 slots as against 2 slots last year
   iii). CUET Application last date extended to March 30, 2023
   iv). 15 Lakh Candidates expected to Appear in CUET UG 2023 at 500+ Test Cities 

Note:
i) CUET (UG) – 2022 will provide a single-window opportunity to students seeking admission to the Central Universities (CUs) across the country for various Undergraduate Programmes.
ii) CUET (UG) – 2022 is a bouquet of tests in various Languages, Domain-specific Subjects, and General Test. Candidates can select any one or more of the tests offered under CUET (UG) - 2022, as per the requirements of the University/ies where admission is sought.
iii) The CUET (UG) – 2022 will be conducted in 13 languages, i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Important Instructions

i. Candidates can apply for CUET (UG) – 2022 in the online mode only though the website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in
ii. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
iii. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
iv. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instruction shall be summarily disqualified.
v. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the online Application Form are their own or of their parents/guardians only as all information/communication will be sent by NTA on their registered e-mail address or by way of SMS on the registered mobile number only.

Note:

Section I
 A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together. However, the third language chosen needs to be in lieu of 6th domain specific Subject chosen by the candidate - as applicable (so the maximum number of tests to be taken remains 9 only i.e. 2 Languages+6 Domain Specific Subjects+1 General Test OR
3 Languages+5 Domain Specific Subjects+1 General Test: flexibility being provided to help a candidate apply for many  Universities depending on their eligibility conditions).
Section II offers 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.
Section III comprises General Test.

For choosing Languages from Section IA and IB  and  domain specific Subjects from Section II and General Test under Section III, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.

Level of questions for CUET (UG) -2022:
All questions in various testing areas will be benchmarked at the level of Class XII only. Students having studied Class XII Board syllabus would be able to do well in CUET (UG) – 2022.

Number of attempts:
If any University permits students of previous years of class XII to take admission in the current year also, such students would also be eligible to appear in CUET (UG) – 2022.

Choice of Languages and Subjects:
Generally the languages/subjects chosen should be the ones that a student has opted in his latest Class XII Board examination. However, if any University permits any flexibility in this regards, the same can be exercised under CUET (UG) -2022 also. Candidates must carefully refer to the eligibility requirements of various Central Universities in this regard. Moreover, if the subject to be studied in the Undergraduate course is not available in the list of 27 Domain Specific Subject being offered, the Candidate may choose the Subject closest to his/her choice for e.g. For Biochemistry the candidate may choose Biology.

Schedule of Examination
Examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Languages/Tests taken by them.
