IIM Kozhikode has set a new benchmark in gender representation and academic inclusivity with its 2026–28 academic session intake.
Key Highlights from the Inauguration Ceremony:
Total Induction: 599 students across three full-time MBA programmes + 99 doctoral scholars.
Women Representation: Nearly two out of three students in the flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) are women.
PGP: 499 students, with 329 women (66%).
PGP-LSM: 51 students, 82% women.
PGP-Fin: 49 students, 12% women.
Overall MBA intake: Women form 63% of the class.
Academic Background Diversity:
Non-engineering graduates now dominate the flagship MBA programme.
PGP: 57% non-engineers.
PGP-LSM: 96% non-engineers.
PGP-Fin: 45% non-engineers.
Overall MBA intake: 59% non-engineers.
Doctoral Programmes Expansion:
99 doctoral scholars inducted.
Regular DPM: 27 scholars, with 66% women — the highest-ever female representation in a PhD batch at the institute.
Executive DPM: 72 scholars.
New Launch: Inaugural batch of the Doctoral Programme in Management (Teaching Track), aimed at preparing future educators and researchers.
