IIM Bangalore concludes placement; 516 students placed, median salary at Rs 32.5 lakh
A total of 503 students of IIM Bangalore were placed, with an additional 13 students being placed in a subsequent rolling placement process. The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), concluded placements for PGP-BA and PGP 2024 on February 7. During the placement week, 516 students accepted job offers from 163 firms.
The median annual salary stands at Rs 32.5 lakh, according to IIM Bangalore. Among the placements, a record 29 students secured positions abroad, with firms including Infosys Consulting (7), Strategy& Middle East (6), Jindal Shadeed (5), TransformationX (3), EY Parthenon Singapore (2), JP Morgan Chase London (2), Health City Cayman Islands (2), Fast Retailing Japan (1), and Landmark Group Middle East (1). The majority of students, numbering 487, will be working in India.
Consulting firms were the most prolific in offering placements, with 218 offers, followed by finance, banking, and investments with 81 offers. IT and e-commerce firms each made 49 offers, while manufacturing and infrastructure firms provided 36 offers. Conglomerates made 30 offers, and consumer goods and retail firms made 28 offers. Additionally, analytics and AI firms offered 13 positions, with healthcare-related firms providing 12 offers.
