What This Means for Aspirants

Higher CAT Emphasis: CAT 2025 score weightage has been raised from 40% to 45%, making test performance more critical.
PI & Extempore Matter: Together they carry 25% weightage, so communication and reasoning skills will be decisive.
Work Experience & Diversity: These factors continue to play a role, but with moderate weightage.
No CAP Dependency: Applicants must apply directly to IIM Nagpur, which may streamline but also intensify competition.

Risks & Considerations

Policy Flexibility: IIM Nagpur reserves the right to revise shortlisting and selection criteria before the process begins.
High Cutoffs: Reports suggest IIM Nagpur has set higher CAT cutoffs compared to past years.
Independent Interviews: Since CAP is not used, candidates must prepare specifically for IIM Nagpur’s own PI & Extempore format
