CAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines and Checklist

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be conducted on November 30, 2025 by IIM Kozhikode. The exam will be held in three sessions of two hours each:

  • Session 1: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
  • Session 2: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
  • Session 3: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Candidates must carefully follow the exam day instructions to ensure a smooth experience.

 
Admit Card Details

The CAT 2025 admit card is available at iimcat.ac.in. The hall ticket includes:

  • Candidate’s name and application number
  • Date and session of the exam
  • Reporting and entry time
  • Gate closing time
  • Exam centre details
  • Exam day guidelines

Candidates must print the admit card on A4 size paper and affix a recent passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form).

Things to Carry

On exam day, candidates must bring:

  • Printed CAT 2025 admit card (A4 size)
  • Original valid ID proof (Aadhar card, PAN card, Passport)
  • Scribe affidavit (if applicable)

Barred Items

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall:

  • Mobile phones and Bluetooth devices
  • Electronic gadgets, including watches
  • Jewellery containing metal or metallic items
  • Shoes or footwear with thick soles
  • Garments with large buttons
  • Personal stationery, wallets, calculators, and goggles

Do’s and Don’ts

  • ✅ Carry the printed admit card and original ID proof for verification.
  • ✅ Affix a recent photograph on the admit card (same as uploaded in the application form).
  • ✅ Drop the admit card in the designated drop box after the exam.
  • ✅ Use only the pen and scribble pad provided at the centre (to be returned after the exam).
  • ❌ Do not use the keyboard during the test. The exam must be attempted using the mouse only. Keyboard usage will lock the system.
  • ❌ Do not carry mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, or personal stationery.
  • ❌ Do not attempt to disclose, share, reproduce, or store any exam-related information. Candidates must agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before appearing for the test.
