ABOUT AILET 2025 |
The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national level law examination. National Law University, Delhi is the only NLU which conducts its own law entrance exam – All India Law Entrance Exam 2025. On the basis of the AILET score, candidates are allowed to take admission in BA LLB(Hons), LLM and PhD programmes. Bengaluru, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Shimla, Siliguri, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. In case the number of the candidates at any test city is less than 100, the test centre will not be created in that city and candidate will be allotted test city as per their 2nd/3rd preference of test city.

Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% in case ofSC/ST/Persons with Disabilities). Candidates appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2025 are eligible to apply.
Total Seats: 110+10 (110 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET, but should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
Additional Supernumerary Seats: One seat for Kashmiri Migrants and two seats for residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
Online Application Fees: Interested candidates should apply online on payment of application fee of Rs.3500/-(Rupees Three Thousand Fifty Only). Application fee in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) is Rs.1500/-(Rupees One thousand Fifty Only). Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee.
